VISION & MISSION

OUR VISION

To be a leading farmers’ association that empowers communities through sustainable agriculture, innovation, and inclusivity.

OUR MISSION

To improve the livelihoods of farmers in Mpigi District by promoting agribusiness, environmental stewardship, and social equity.

OUR STRATEGIC GOALS

Agribusiness Development

MPIFA aims to transform farming from subsistence into profitable enterprises. This involves training farmers in modern techniques, linking them to reliable markets, and supporting value addition through processing and packaging. By doing so, farmers increase their incomes and strengthen local economies.

Environmental Conservation

Protecting natural resources is central to MPIFA’s mission. The organization promotes sustainable land use, tree planting, soil and water conservation, and eco-friendly farming practices. These efforts ensure that farming remains productive while safeguarding biodiversity for future generations.

Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation

MPIFA helps farmers build resilience against climate challenges such as droughts, floods, and unpredictable weather. This includes promoting climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy solutions, and community awareness programs. The goal is to reduce vulnerability while contributing to global climate action.

Organizational Development with Inclusion

Strengthening farmer networks and institutional capacity is key to MPIFA’s growth. The organization deliberately focuses on empowering women, youth, and children, ensuring they have equal opportunities to participate in agribusiness and leadership. This inclusive approach builds stronger, more resilient communities.
